Laptop with docking station v desktop

I saw a similar topic to this but I wanted to post this because it specifically involves a docking station.

Im due to move home soon and the new house has an external building which will be my office.  Generally I do end up work all sorts of hours and when I have a minor emergency late evening that will take a few minutes to sort I don’t want to have to go out to the office.

So, I wondered if there was anyone who could advise on docking station use with cc.

Id probably go for a 16gg i7 laptop of some variety and something like this for the docking station: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Wavlink-Universal-Docking-Ethernet-Ultrabook/dp/B075T6D9PF/ref=mp_s_a_1_17?ie=UTF8&qid=15528545…

Ill have two large monitors in my office.

thanks all

Clearly I meant 16 Gb!

As long as a docking station does not expand the capabilities (ie with a different graphics processor), there will be no difference.

i7 16gb sounds good even that today 16gb is more the lower end of the memory you would need.

Look at the recommended requirements (and not the minimal) and you will be ok.
