License not activating after clean OS install on new SSD

Hi ya. Adobe Acrobat Pro 2017 is not activating after doing a clean Windows 11 Pro install on a new SSD on same laptop. Almost 3 years ago, Adobe chat had to increase the number of uses due to a new motherboard. I assume that is why I am having problems again. I get an error message the next time I launch the app after entering the serial number stating there is only a 7 day trial. So, it does not seem to me to be accepting my serial number any longer. The chat option is no longer available to reach Adobe. The Community is the only option. How do I resolve this with Adobe? Thank you all for the help.

There are more problems.

Repair through the menu does not fix. Running setup and Repairing does not fix it. So, I thought I'd reinstall. The Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool does not seem to apply to my product. Other than uninstalling thru Windows 11, is there something else I should do to compltely remove it? Thank you to everyone that has replied.

SOLVED just the unable to find Adobe PDF resources files error.

I did some reading online. Here's what I learned and how I fixed it. I was getting the error when trying to create a single pdf file from multiple files. It seems the Word doc was the issue. No Adobe PDF printer was installed. I tried to install it manually, and it would not work. I think maybe it was a certificate error for the inf file. I found this online:

https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/adobe-pdf-printer-does-not-install.html

Installing that patch created the Adobe PDF printer driver, and the error is gone.

While fixing my resource files error, it dawned on me. Is the online Adobe account login tied to my app? I mean when I log out of my Adobe account online is it also logging me out of the app? If so, I would have never thought they would be tied together like that.. Thank you again for all the help.

In the interest of security & compatibility, you shouldn't be using unsupported apps, especially when better ones are readily available to you.

I did not know that. And very true. I need the paid features, and unfortuntely an upgrade is not possible for me. Thank you for making me aware though.

No, still no credit card subscriptions. I have since installed the free reader, but I'm uninstalling that. I'll do that next.

then (afaik) what you do on your account (other than explicitly sign-out/deactivate acrobat won't impact acrobat).

Online is where I download the app. I also just learned you can deactivate from there and see what devices are active. So, I'm only using it now while I reinstall for the win11 clean install.
