I have standalone Lightroom 6.14 on old Windows7 desktop and then on Windows10 laptop. Trying to deactivate the laptop  but deactivate option doesn't appear in the software "Help" menu as the website suggests. Deactivation necessary so I can install on the new Windows 11 desktop computer. Installed successfully but gives max install serial number warning that I must deactivate one of the other systems before I can use this new computer's installation.

My online account doesn't show the software at all so that makes it difficult to deactivate it. Both installations were registered at the time of installation. Can anyone explain this and how I can deactivate the laptop license to free up the serial number for my new system?

When you can't properly deactivate a serial number
BE SURE TO ONLY ASK FOR ACTIVATION SUPPORT TO ADJUST YOUR ACTIVATION COUNT
You may need to PERSIST or TRY AGAIN to find a support agent with more experience

This is the right answer.  Don't even bother with live chat though, just call.  I was experimenting with virtual machines and seeing which would work best with LR6 and ran out of activated serial numbers.  You're only allowed 2 and Adobe doesn't allow you to deactivate which sucks.  They made it harder to install too requiring Creative Cloud to be installed as well.  I found WMware fusion to work fairly well and it's free.

adobe lets you deactivate using your installed app (help>deactivate), your adobe account (used when purchasing from or registering with) and via adobe support.  and chat works for deactivating.

Not sure if legacy LR6 will even run on Win11. You might want to keep it activated on your Win10 machine just in case.
