2 years ago i bought a Samsung Camera which came with a copy of lightroom 4 (Serial no.[Moderator deleted private information. Please do not post private information like e-mails and phone numbers]) this was loaded on an iMac Pro and worked fine until recently when I was asked to put in a code to gain access. I have all the original packaging and the disc but can't find any reference to a password code?

Correct answer 99jon

I have numerous serial numbers for the camera but can't find anything about

lightroom. Seem strange that it has never asked for a Serial number before.

Is there any other way to get it?

Have a look on your computer system to see whether a registration file was ever created. Go to:

Windows

C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Lightroom\Lightroom 4.0 Registration.lrreg

Right-click on Lightroom 4.0 Registartion.lrreg and choose Open With Notepad

Mac

Go to:

Macintosh HD >> Library >> Application Support >> Adobe >> Lightroom

Inside the Lightroom folder right-click (control-click) on Lightroom 4.0 Registration and choose open with TextEdit

If the word "password" is involved it is likely your Mac system security requesting it, not Adobe software.

Thanks for the reply but it is the Adobe Lightroom asking for a serial

number when I try to open it up.

The serial number should be 24 digits commencing 1160. It is usually found inside the packaging, either on the cardboard inner box or on the disk wrapper.

N.B. never publish serial numbers in public forums.
