I loaded new version of lightroom two weeks ago. And Creative cloud announced update two days ago about this new version of lightroom classic. But installation is unsuccessfull. I tried many of processes explained in your different suggestions, no one is working. Did you have any suggestion. See error message:

Exit Code: 146

-------------------------------------- Summary --------------------------------------

- 2 fatal error(s), 0 error(s), 1 warnings(s)

FATAL: Error (Code = 146) executing in command 'MoveFileCommand' for package: 'AdobeLightroom-mul', version:7.0.1.1142117

FATAL: Error occurred in install of package (Name: AdobeLightroom-mul Version: 7.0.1.1142117). Error code: '146'

WARN: Unable to move file at "C:\adobeTemp\ETR9AAF.tmp\1\Adobe Lightroom Classic CC\Helpers\DynamicLinkMediaServer\dynamiclinkmediaserver\1.0\32\Adobe QT32 Server.exe" to "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Lightroom Classic CC\Helpers\DynamicLinkMediaServer\dynamiclinkmediaserver\1.0\32\Adobe QT32 Server.exe" Error 5 Accès refusé.. Try setting correct permissions to the specified file/folder or parent folder, so that admin has rights to modify it.

So that update is failing. I can't see the specified folder to change permission since it is canceled. It is the first time I've this kind of trouble since I'm using creative cloud.

I worked with classic two weeks, I'm now not able to open any job done with new version by using lightroom cc 2015.

Many thanks for your help,

Finally I found the solution. I was not knowing that with Windows 10, if you are the only one user, you don't have all the administrator rights. Administrateur (user) is hidden.

So I created the administrator user (https://www.astuces-aide-informatique.info/2092/activer-compte-administrateur-windows ). Restarted all the process with administrator access and it was succesfull.

May this information be usefull for other users ...
