Lightroom Installer Not Responding

Ok, I downloaded the Lightroom Installer for a trial run, but it hangs after I double click on the installer. I have to force quit the installer. I can't get past this stage, and there are no support options other than posting here.

install the cc desktop app from here, https://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud  and use it to install your lr cc trial

That worked!

The problem is Adobe's fault because the order confirmation email I received after purchase includes a link to the standalone download NOT a link to download via Creative Cloud, as you suggested.

if so, you should have been directed to that desktop app.

I purchased a subscription to Lightroom CC and Photoshop CC and they sent me a order confirmation link to the standalone Lightroom installer-- which wouldn't install.

i don't know why they email sent you an incorrect link, but you're ok now with the cc desktop app installed.

you can also use the cc desktop app to install your photoshop subscription, in addition to the lightroom you already installed.
