I have tried every number given to me, as well as the number under the scrath-off on my card (which isn't enough numbers-apparently) to satisfy the serial number option in Lightroom setup. HELP!

Your serial number should be a 24-digit number. If you've entered this number and it did not work, can you let us know which error message you received?

Where did you purchase the software? You mentioned scratching a card to find numbers, is it possible that you have a redemption code rather than a serial number? A redemption code is used only once for the purpose of acquiring the serial number for your software. If so, these links may help:
