[Locked] Working completely offline possible? Alternatives?

Hello everybody!

First of all, I am sorry, if this is posted in the wrong section.

I am interested in buying some Adobe products, mainly the "Animate" software for working with flash animations.

However there does not seem to be any possibillity to work completely offline (once the product is registered of course). It would seem like I have to be connected to the internet every few months for the software to work.

But I don't like to be depending on a working internet connection. Or on the "existance" of the servers that validate the registration every month ...

Just imagine that something happens to this company or their infrastructure ...

That is something that is outside of my control and I don't like to depend on things that are not under my control. (I know, I have some trust-issues ... )

If the complete offline usage isn't possible (clearly it is, it has been for the last few years, someone just got greedy / wanted to be able to control everybody) are there any alternate ways?

Specifically I am looking for a way to create / edit flash animations.

If anybody knows about a "offline" solution of an alternative, let me know here.

Thank your for taking the time to read this, I appreciate it.

If you look at your Profile Page (click on your forum Avatar), you have 15 posts and most of them are duplicates.

I'm locking this discussion because your posts are automatically being blocked now.  And there's nothing anybody can do about it because the forum's AI thinks you're spamming.

You really don't want to work with Flash animations, I suspect. Did you know that Flash is closing down forever at the end of this year, that it will stop working in all major browsers, and that it is already getting difficult and annoying to use (by design)?

Thanks for the quick reply!

I plan to make some modifications for a game (just for personal use) and for that I need to be able to edit and create flash animation files (.swf / .fla). That's pretty much the only thing that I will need it for ...

1. You realise your "personal use" will stop at the end of the year?

2. You can't edit SWF files, they are the final result, not the thing you edit.

3. So far as I know, Adobe Animate is what you need. Since it will be useless in 9 months, subscribing monthly ($30/month) is cheaper than it was to buy. Don't forget to cancel in December!

Hi

Have you tried doing a Google search for alternatives to Animate

Thanks for the quick reply!

Is there any program that can open / edit / create .fla & .swf files?

If it can't to that, it will be of no use to me ...
