lost serial code CS6 - no box of register

New Here ,
Oct 10, 2017 Oct 10, 2017

I have recently lost my education edition of Adobe CS6 due to a ruined hard drive.

I have found a link to re-install the software but cannot find the box or serial number I need anywhere, I have a copy of CS6 installed on my laptop but it won't let me register the copy to retrieve through my adobe account and the help pages online have me going in circles.

Is it possible to retrieve the serial code another way?

Thanks

you have 3 ways to recover a serial number that you once had:

1. you can check your account (if you purchased from or registered with adobe), https://accounts.adobe.com

2. if your adobe program is installed on another computer you can recover its serial number from that computer, (win:) http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html, (mac:)  https://mac-product-key-finder.com/

Hi,

Thanks for the advice, I ran the product key finder but the free version did not find any serial numbers, do I need to run the paid for version?

no, the free version should work if the program's still installed and activated.  it's installed and deactivated i don't know if it will work.  if it's uninstalled it won't work.

The free version only brings up a few product kets, acrobat etc.

The pro version finds the key for CS6 but only in demo mode which only shows the first 4 numbers, I have to pay to get the full product key it would seem. I am running it on my MacBook which has a full install of the creative suite still.

is acrobat part of your cs6 suite?  if so, it may have the same serial as the suite.

You would have had to run it on the drive that failed, since that is the drive that has the information.

I don't think so as the first 4 numbers on the CS6 key didn't match the first 4 in the acrobat key. I had that thought myself.
