lost serial number on Master Suite CS6

I have the entire master suite 6 on an older laptop. my copy was not registered either, is there anyway at all of retrieving the serial number off the old pc?

I was able to attain what I thought was the serial number from Belarc, but when I tried to enter the serial number in the Master Suite CS6 product it said it was invalid. This is the same serial number that is in my old laptop. It is the same serial number that works (I'm able to bring up all programs under Master Suite CS6 without a problem). They meaning adobe keep saying I need to go back to the vendor to attain the original serial number from him , but only issue is I got the original Master Suite about 5 years ago from a person from Craiglist. I can't get back in touch. with that person. Any reason why the programs work on the old laptop but the serial number is invalid?

assuming you're using a valid adobe serial number (6 groups of 4 numbers), you have a mismatch between your installation file and serial number.  ie, you can have a valid serial number, but if it's for program A and your installation file is for program B, you will see an invalid serial number message.

common mismatches are language/region (eg, serial number is for western europe and installation file is eastern europe), platform (eg, serial number is for a mac and installation file is win), license type (eg, education vs enterprise vs individual).

and one of the most common is using a program installation file with a suite's serial number. eg, using a cs6 suite serial number with a photoshop cs6 installation file.  that won't work even though photoshop is included in that suite.  you must use the suite's installation file (and you can choose to only install one program from the suite).

When I use Belarc for the serial number recovery it gave me 6 groups of 4 numbers as the serial numbers, and that serial number will work on the old laptop to bring up all programs in the Master Suite CS6.  Therefore, I would think that the serial number is a valid working serial number for that Master Suite, the person at Adobe help desk says that serial number is not valid for Master Suite CS6 - but it works on the old laptop. My question is why would it work on one win 10 platform but not work on the other newer win 10 laptop? Is it possible that someone else may have registered my copy of Master Suite CS6 since i got it from a dealer so long ago?

how do you know it's master suite and not some other suite?

The serial number started with 1325..and when I used Belarc that serial number was associated with the master Suite CS 6. I do have other adobe products and all their serial numbers came up valid in Belarc.  I was able to transfer those products to the new laptop. I'm just getting an invalid number with the Adobe Master Suite CS 6.

Charod20 I reviewed your recent cases and can confirm that the serial numbers you provided to our support team are not valid.  I have never even seen an Adobe serial number which begins with 9229 which was part of the Creative Suite 6 serial number you provided.  I also verified that the alternate e-mail address you provided did not have any additional software titles registered.

Creative Suite 6 did register itself automatically for individual licenses.  I would recommend locating any alternate phone numbers that may have been used to register the product and contacting our support team directly at Contact Customer Care .  A search can be performed similar to the search done on the Aol e-mail address.

If the license for Creative Suite 6 you were provided truly began with 9229 then it is possible the software installation prevented any communication with Adobe servers.  This would have prevented an activation error and the invalid serial number from being registered.

No, the serial number started with 1325 not 9229..according to Belarc.

Jeff I just reviewed the Chat I had with Customer Care on Sunday, no where in the chat I indicated the serial number started with 9229. It shows in the chat that I stated the serial number started with 1325. I typed in exactly what I have as the serial number starting with 1325-xxxx-[number removed by moderator] so forth. I gave the Representative 24 number - 6 groups of 4 numbers. Nowhere in the group was 9229. I have no idea where 9229 came from but it is not associated with the serial number I gave the person. I also have Master Suite CS5.5 and I'm having same problem with it.

Charod20 the 9229 serial number was provided by you in case 0221257761 on 2/22/17 at 3:42 A.M.

Please see my response in message #6.  It is likely that your serial number is registered but it will be a matter of locating the account that it was registered under.  You will want to work directly with our support team at Contact Customer Care so that serial number and other personal information can be utilized to locate you license.

I'm sorry Jeff but I gave those numbers before I did the scan using Belarc. Since that day, I called back on Sunday Feb 26 with the numbers I just gave you. There should be another conversation dated Sunday February 26 with the serial numbers starting with xxxxx [number removed by moderator]... the conversation started at 9:25 est

Also, I would highly recommend either responding via the forum itself or, if you prefer responding via email instead of the forum, you should stop your email from including the previous response. When it does so, it also shows your email address to the public forum (again, not recommended).

Jeff, I did have a different phone number when I first setup the Master Suite CS 6. Are you saying they may be able to find my serial number using the original telephone number that I used to register the product?  I used the same telephone number to register Master Suite CS5.5 and CS 6.

Yes Charod20 a search can be performed on your phone number to locate the registered software. 

Please work with our support team directly so that a search can be performed.  I would recommend you focus on locating your registered serial number as opposed to the serial number you recovered using a utility.
