Dear All,
There is an available OS update for Mac - Mac OSX Tahoe 26 - Is it okay to update now?
All Adobe apps will still work?
TIA.

So far, any versions of Adobe Photoshop Elements older than 2023 will not work on macOS Tahoe 26.
Both Intel and Apple Silicon systems.
If there is a particular Adobe application you use more than others you could visit the relevant forum and see if there are any reports of issues on macOS Tahoe 26.

As with any update, if you want to start on Day 1, it may be possible that there could be bugs or older versions may no longer work. If there are specific apps you are using it would be worth posting to see. Personally speaking I have started up DW, PS, ID, and Illustrator without issue, but it's possible with other plugins/etc. that there may be bugs uncovered. If you are nervous about upgrading as a rule with Apple wait for their first point release to update to the new OS so bugs on their side are worked out and then you can update if key applications you are using work without issue.

there's no guarantee so it's never wise to be early with updates unless you can tolerate problems.

You can look for updates to this Adobe Kb, hopefully, before too long for macOS Tahoe issues:

Is this the Final Public Release version?
Personally, I always wait 2-3 months before committing to a new OS until all the bugs are sorted out.

NO - do NOT update. I updated and Adobe Photoshop Elements 2022 stopped working. They just give the following error message:
Adobe Photoshop cannot run on this computer because the minimum system requirement is Mac OS X version
My mac os version (after update) is Tahoe 26.0.1 and it runs on Apple M1 Max.

Right. PSE 22 is an unsupported product, 3 years beyond its release date. If you need to run Tahoe, you'll have to upgrade to modern software to go with it.
Modern versions of Photoshop Elements & Photoshop CC will run on macOS 26 (Tahoe).
Photoshop Elements (3 year license, no subscription needed).

Hope that helps.

So Nancy, you say its safe to do the upgrade to Mac OS Tahoe ? Creative Cloud will run properly on it ? Is this 100% sure ?

No, it varies by product. Photoshop just released a new update. But other apps might not be fully compatible yet.
Before upgrading, always check the latest system specs required for your favorite CC apps.

Also, read the advisory 'Release Notes' and 'Known Issues' before deciding whether to upgrade now or hold off until later.

Thx for the answers 🙂 I'll wait for more positive feedbacks before upgrading to Tahoe. It's my work computer so it has to be fully effective 🙂
