MacBook Air needs more RAM

my MacBook Air Has 4GB RAM and I cannot increase the RAM. Is the only option I have to download an older version of Premiere such as 2014 CC?

1 - buy a computer that will work with the newer program

2 - use an older program IF it is available (see below)
