MacBook Pro can't detect camera or CF Card Reader

Hi, I'm a photographer and I usually use the uploader in Adobe Bridge to import photographs from my camera or CF card reader to my MacBook Pro. All of a sudden yesterday, the laptop stopped recognising both of these. I'm getting the message that no devices are detected. I haven't been able to find the devices in Finder, the Photos app or Image Capture either.

Mac OS High Sierra

Version 10.13.6

MacBook Pro (13 inch, 2017, two Thunderbolt 3 ports)

Canon 5D MK II

Has anyone experienced a similar problem? I'd be grateful for any advice on how to solve this issue. many thanks

Correct answer Nancy OShea

This sounds like a problem for Apple support, not Adobe.

Hi Nancy, thanks for your reply. I’ve now tried to connect the camera to a PC and  everything works perfectly, so you are definitely correct in saying it is an Apple issue. Thank you for taking the time to try to help.
