Macos sequoia updates very slow

New Here ,
Aug 27, 2025 Aug 27, 2025

Recently, any updates to applications in Creative Cloud run very slowly. They rapidly advance to 45% and then take days at best to complete.

I have tried reinstalling creative cloud and the problem persists. It isn't clear if this is a CC or Macos problem but no other application have this issue and I can download/install and edit files in other applications without issue. Running the apps such as photoshop also work fine once they are installed.

macos version Sequoia 15.6.1.

Hi Roger,

We are sorry for the trouble. Could you make sure the Creative Cloud is updated to the latest version before proceeding with updating the application?

Also, are you running any other process while updating the app?

Let us know.

Hi Shivangi

Thank you for getting back. In answer, I reinstalled CC so it will be on the latest version. I am running a browser but nothing else. In particular no adobe applications.

I do have an anti-malware running but I would be very loth to disable that for obvious reasons.

Kind Regards

Roger

Thanks for the update, Roger. Do the updates eventually complete, or does it fail? If it fails, see https://adobe.ly/4n9L0O9 for information on how to locate the fatal error.

If the update process is merely slow, then I would agree with Kglad and Shivangi, and suggest that something on the computer is interfering, but not blocking, the update process. If you are only running anti-malware software, then you would want to try temporarily suspending the software to see if it made a difference. If so, then check with the manufacturer that all updates are applied and that it is using the recommended settings.  ^JW

in additon to the above, if you have a problem with the latest version, as a test, suspend all security software (esp av, antimalware etc) duringan update.  any difference?
