I also have McAfee AV, Firewall and Internet Security.  I have never had a risky connection warning about Creative Cloud.

New Relic makes Application Performance Monitoring (APM) software.  I don't think this is malware as New Relic is often used in Cloud apps from Amazon, Microsoft, Adobe and many other big names.   More likely this is an over zealous Internet setting in McAfee.

I am certainly not going to disable my antivirus and allow god only knows what to attack my pc. It would be helpful to have clear step-by-step instructions on how to do this "white list" thing. But actually, I am at the point of not renewing my sub when it expires at the end of the month.

Neither, my firewall and virus check at home nor at work (managed by my companiy’s IT team and making decisions based on input independant from me) have a problem with Adobe Creative Cloud applications. The only problem I had where Adobe stocks websites that got blocked as a general measure. I’ve asked to get those whitlisted. The names, not the ip addresses.

Not renewing the subscription should not be based on some obscure Network security settings from people not knowing what to do, but should be based on the need to use the software. If the software comes from a trusted source (Adobe?), you should trust that source.

If the « risky connection blocked » has no repercussion on performance or functionality you should just go and silence the blocking message or you should investigate your computer for malware and odd signs of erronous configuration.

Most of the problems with security software comes from the configuration of that software. If you close your garage so not to let in thieves you need, however, to find a different way to get your car in and out from time to time. You do so with controlled openenings. It’s the same with software...

Actually, the reason for not renewing is several fold, and this was the icing on the cake. I have done the virus scans, updated drivers, etc. I had no problem with using Lightroom/Photoshop with McAfee running. This is new. Up until now, it had been trusted. Also new, is the inability to render video, costing me a contract. A known issue that has been around for awhile now, and no resolution. I thought updating the program may resolve it, which is when the error message came up that the original poster had. I am simply tired of fighting with this. I have wasted days doing a number of tests, virus scans, hard drive checks, codec updates etc. I'm just done.

McAfee is malicious, and dangerous to keep on your machine. Uninstall it, and write to adobe for tricking you into installing it in the first place. Adobe's feet need to be forced over the fire until they realized the crime they have committed against all of us.
