I updated the newer version but it wont link to my after effects which means Its useless and I would like to download the older version back please how am I able to delete this update? If I uninstall its still the same version. I have AE CC 2017

Dianae4418911 I am sorry you are facing difficulties utilizing After Effects and Media Encoder CC.  What errors are preventing you from installing the current release of After Effects CC?

Dianae4418911 what specific version of Media Encoder are you trying to install?  What release of Premiere Pro C do you have installed currently?

The version before the current 2018 one. I don't use premiere pro I need it for my after effects cc 2017

Thanks for the clarification Dianae4418911.  I am sorry but the older version of Media Encoder CC is not currently available for download.  I would recommend bookmarking Download Creative Cloud apps as the previous version will be posted when available.  The ability will also be added to the Creative Cloud desktop app but it may take up to 24 hours to see the older version as being available.

If I update my After Effects would the plugins I currently have stay?

For any questions regarding plug-ins for After Effects I would recommend posting in the After Effects forums at After Effects .

I know several Adobe software titles have moved to common location for plug-ins, to allow them to be referenced by multiple versions, but I do not know if After Effects has undergone this process yet or not.  In addition there may be other compatibility concerns which you may need to considered Dianae4418911.  The community in the After Effects forum would be the best able to answer this question Dianae4418911.

Thank you for all your help! I just have to wait 24 hours to be able to reinstall the older Media Encoder cc version?

Unfortunately I don't have a date on when the files will be available at Download Creative Cloud apps​.  I do recommend bookmarking the page as they will be available there first.

You can also use the Check for App Update feature in the Creative Cloud desktop app to see if the older versions have been made available.  When restored you should see similar behavior for Media Encoder that you see for other applications under the Apps tab.
