Make sure you are using the same Adobe ID, Email Address, that you used to purchase the subscription.

You can open the Creative Cloud Desktop App and click the human bust figure in the upper right hand corner to check what email address you are signed in with.

And if you click anywhere in the pop up that comes up it will take you to a Sign In page in your web browser where you then type in your password.

And that should take to the right Adobe Account info.

OK I was able to phone Adobe support this morning.  Apparently the login used for the web page (like this one) is different from the one used for Creative Cloud.  When I looked at account info I was looking at the web page info. The service advisor got it straight-ed it out and I am now up and running.

The new CC Lightroom is not something I am going to like Will play another few minutes with it to be sure.

Meanwhile I have also installed the classic version.

Thanks to everyone for trying to steer me to the right fix re my problem.

Cheers
Barry

Well in all honesty the login I use for these forums is the exact same login I use for anything else Adobe. Including the login email address and password for the CC apps I have installed.

That is why I suggest to use the link in the CC DTA to check your CC account. If you aren't using the same Adobe ID in the CC DTA as you used to purchase your subscription then the validation for that subscription won't go through.

When you go to Manage Pan from Manage Account link it doesn't show the apps you have installed.

It should show you the computer names you have it installed on like this.

Thats strange, it says I have a Creative Cloud free plan. This is not the case as my credit card is being dinged every month for $14 Canadian

It does not show anything about apps or computers
