Hello there! I have a small issue, maybe you guys can help me out!

I purchased Lightroom many years ago at Best Buy and have been using it ever since. I used it first on an old laptop (DELL) which crashed on me back in 2014. So I had that laptop wiped and bought a new one (now my most recent one before the MacBook) , also a DELL, and have used my Lightroom on there faithfully since 2014. Here I am now, though, trying to add my LR to my newest laptop, MacBook, and I am having some issues. I have my serial number, but once I go to the newly installed LR CC app I downloaded, it says your trial will expire in 7 days. so I click to license the software. From there it asks me to put in my Adobe ID info and so I do, which leads me to a screen that says that there is no subscription found under my ID. Which there probably truly isn't because I do not pay monthly, as I am using LR from a one time purchase. Now, how can I get this trial version of LR up and running as a full app on my MacBook?

Thank you in advance and I apologize if this is confusing!

after reading the above and before doing anything, you should uninstall whatever you've installed on your mac:

uninstall everything cc including preferences, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-remove-app.html

then uninstall the cc desktop app, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-creative-cloud-desktop-app.html

clean your computer of cc files per http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html

restart your computer (don't skip this)

then download your lr in

Exactly which Lightroom version, and exactly which Mac operating system?

According to lightroom 4 pc to mac your Lightroom serial number will work on both Windows and Mac versions

HOWEVER, the latest Mac operating system is not fully compatible with old programs, so more information may  help someone who knows Mac help you (I am on Windows)

>LR CC app I downloaded

Well, that is problem from the start... you can't use an OLD serial number with a new program... you need to install what you bought

kglad links in reply #1 here https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2401701 may help to download the version that matches your serial number
