Neverending software license popup & test version of Photoshop

Hello everyone,

I know these are quite common problems and that many threads exist about that already but I tried many things suggested in the threads and nothing worked, so I have to go for it again...

Here's my story:

1) After a windows update (I'm using Windows 7; Version 6.1 (Build 7601: Service Pack 1)) I got the known issue of a neverending "your software license is checked" window popping up again and again and again when I tried to start Photoshop. I checked for possible solutions including suggestions from this thread: adobe software license agreement keeps popping up after installing CC 2014 apps . I did delete SLCache and OOBE folder and also deleted the software_agreement.xlm (don't remember the exact name)

2) Since this didn't work I did a system recovery to the point before the windows update. I got that eternal software license window pop up again.

3) Until then I was still using Adobe Photoshop 2015. So I updated it to Photoshop 2017 to see if this helps. This time I didn't get the software license window anymore but now I only got the test version although I have a full Creative Cloud subscription including PS. I could work with the 7-day-trial version and hoped that after this time it would switch to normal like the other apps. But now I got a testversion over note beneath the app's name and when I try to start it, I get the endless software license window pop up again.

Of course I checked the forums to get help and it seems like I have the issue of the never ending software license window combined with the false test version issue.

Following the tips of users from this forum, I have repeatedly

- tried to use a system restore point before the whole mess: no result

- deinstalled and reinstalled ALL CC apps manually, including CC desktop app itself: no result

- deinstalled everything using the AdobeCreativeCloudCleanerTool.exe; yes, I let it run as administrator and I repeated this like 3 times with reboots inbetween. I also deinstalled non-cc-related apps and adobe stuff.

- I even went into all kind of directories in the user-folder and deleted everything that had the name adobe on it (whole folders with sub-folders) and rebooted and installed everything again: no result. Whenever I download cc and install it and then install photoshop, it says my test period has ended and I get the neverending software license window.

I don't know if this information helps somehow: I run cc with the same account on a second computer (an iMac) and this works without any issues, photoshop is licensed and runs flawlessly.

Thanks for your attention & help

Hi ChanVasquez,

Thank you for sharing details of the steps that you have already performed to resolve this issue, if i understand you clearly your Photoshop CC stopped working after you updated your computers operating system, and then after trying few steps and installing the latest Photoshop version now you are getting a trial error, In order to resolve this issue i would recommend you to do a manual cleanup of the Creative Cloud from your machine, see the steps here: Photoshop Installation Failed

Let us know if this helps.

Hello!

Well, that helped! After following the steps from your link I reinstalled CC and Photoshop and now I could start PS again - no software license window and no test version. Thank you a lot!
