I recently just updated my macbook pro to macOS big sur 11.0.1 and after doing so I bought the entire adobe package. I was able to download Creative Cloud but when I press install on any apps they don't install. It says waiting... for about 30 seconds then I type in my password and it says waiting for about 30 seconds more then it just stops. The install button comes again. I need to use photoshop, indesign and Illustrator for school so this is stressing me out. I tried to get help from my schools tech support but they couldn't help me.
I don't know what to do, if anyone has any ideas please help x

It is hugely unwise to upgrade a system when you have work to do! This sort of thing always happens in the first months of new systems and apps. Can you downgrade your Mac?

I have the same problem except my Apps were already installed and running when I upgraded the OS. Unfortunately I have not been able to resolve the issue. I can't even run the Acrobat uninstaller. No one in this forum has been able to help. The online Adobe resources indicate that Acrobat is compatible but that is not true.

You should always wait to update your Mac operating system until you verify that the non-Apple programs you use are going to work properly... not only Adobe programs, the 2nd link below is about Avid... aimed at video editing, but it is a warning for ALL non-Apple program users

And, Apple's update sometimes isn't even compatible with itself

You are 100% correct. Lesson learned. Nevertheless it would be nice to be able fix the problem. Adobe says Acrobat is compatible with Big Sur so I hoping they or Apple or maybe both will come up with a solution. I am lucky to have an older MacBook Pro that won't run Big Sur so I have a backup way to get work done. I am no computer expert nor am I a power user. Just looking for some constructive suggestions to get up and running again.

Just to let you know I was able to install and run Adobe Acrobat DC under macOS Big Sur. First I uninstalled the Creative Cloud App and then reinstalled it from the Creative Cloud website. Next I used the Creative Cloud App to uninstall Acrobat. Then I reinstalled Acrobat from the Creative Cloud App. Magically it is working.

Just got my new M1 iMac24 running 11.4. Pulled it out of the box, migrated my data from timemachine, then tried to install Creative Cloud. It will not install. Have spent hours with both Adobe and Apple and neither have yet to figure out how to fix it. Both have used remote support to work on the computer and have not figured it out. Both have been very good to work with. I just need it fixed so I can go back to work. Evidently there is a specific security issue with OS11.4 and Adobe.

Same. Now looking up how to downgrade Big Sur to an earlier version. Not looking forward to that.

I'm having the same issue right now, as I'm just installing my brand new iMac 2021. Will you update, if you find a solution?

So, I'm following "Mr Macintosh's" YouTube tutorial on how to downgrade Big Sur to an earlier version. It's not for the faint of heart but at least it doesn't involve two computers.
He talks a lot about the alternative options in the middle of explaining the simple option (which makes both sound kind of complicated) but he seems to really know his stuff.

I fixed the problem by installing Rosetta: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT211861
