Hi guys,
I am a visual artist who purchased Adobe Photoshop 5.0 and an upgrade to Photoshop 6.0 back in the 2000s, maybe 2002 or 03. I have them on CD and am the original owner. I don't remember if I registered the product "back in the day".. At the time I was a WIndows user. Now I've got a iMac from 2011 with OS X 10.6.8 installed, and I would like to use the older versions of Photoshop on that computer.
Is there somewhere I can download the version of Photoshop I need for my iMac? I have my serial numbers, and the discs. I tried the chat line and they sent me here.

Your older versions are only valid for use with a Windows system, as are the serial numbers that would have accompanied them. Swapping platforms is not going to be an option for such older versions either.
Even if you could download the software (you can't), even if the license worked (it doesn't) or Adobe would swap it (they won't), your Mac is FAR TOO NEW to ever run those old versions of Photoshop. Apple regularly make changes which throw out all old apps. You'd need a much older Mac running Mac OS 8 or Mac OS 9.

Windows, Mac... the software would be the same and it shouldn't matter.
You guys surely have links to download older versions for your customers. I paid good money for this software while others I knew of just pirated it.
Can you help?

No, the software is not the same... just as you can't run a gasoline engine on diesel, you must have a completely different program to run on a Mac
Even if you download a Mac version, your Windows serial number will not work
Try the http://www.parallels.com/ "emulator" on your Mac to run Windows programs

Those versions are too old to work today. You'll have to get a new version of Photoshop. You can look at the plans here: Compare Photoshop photography plans

Transfer (selling or giving your software away) https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/transfer-product-license.html
-you may NOT sell or transfer an Education serial number
-you also may NOT sell/transfer if you used a program as the basis to buy an upgrade at a reduced price
