P44 error

Hello I am trying to download AI.  I have also tried CC.  I receive a p44 error every time.  I have niw trued IE, Firefox, Chrome, and Safari.  Sane result no natter the browser.   I have run the CC cleaning tool, no luck. The only adobe on thus machine  is adobe reader and flash.  I have shut down firewalls, virus, popup blockers,  no luck.   I remember going through this installing CS3 from disc many years ago.  It took weeks to resolve, hours on the phone with tech support.  I don't have weeks, I need this running in the next day.

Which version of AI are you trying to install and what are the system specifications for the machine you are trying to install it on?
