Hey, so recently I decided to cancel my photography plan subscription. While cancelling, I was offered a promotion saying that if I accept it I can use the photography plan for two more months for free. I accepted it, cause it seemed like a fair deal (even though there was limited information on the offer), but after accepting it I was faced with some concerning conditions. If I'm not mistaken, it was saying that after the promotion period my subscription will renew itself. I did not agree on that. But it was done, I couldn't resign from the offer. It seems like an illegal practice to make people pay for one more year of subscription. I can't find any help on Adobe's site, nor any information about the offer - I can't believe I'm the only one who was offered it, so it's really strange. Can someone help?

All the subscriptions are auto-renewal, so after the 3 free months you subscription will be renewed.
Contact Adobe to cancel your contract:

Okay. So look. When I go into my account management site and look at the photography plan box, it says:
"The renewal of this plan has been turned off"
Are you sure it will renew itself after the 60 days free period?

If I'm correct you get 2 month for free for not cancelling.

Exactly. That's an offer everyone seems to be getting. Yet I got this:
I'll translate the offer box:
Special offer
60 days for free
You can use all the benefits of the current plan for 60 more days. The period of 60 free days will begin at the beginning of the next billing cycle.
24,58€ 0€
(Accept offer)
I accepted the offer and ONLY THEN I was faced with the conditions of the promotion. How is that fair?

We canceled all of our plan, we did receive the offer, We decide to take it and received this email:
We've processed your cancellation request. Your service will end on 12-September-2019 (PT).
So it seen we will have two month free ( very good for the transition to Infinity and DaVinci).
But Adobe being Adobe, we never know, so we will check in 2 or 3 days if we are being charge or not.
But maybe we received this email because it's illegal in Canada to make condition after the deal it's signed!

I believe it might be illegal in most countries (definitely here in Poland).
Thanks for your reply.

Contact consumer protection on that.

Where can I contact it?

That is a question that you should be able to answer as it is local to your situation. Google for consumer protection ...

We did and yes it is illegal in Québec (In Canada each province had their consumer protection service)
I really don't understand why Adobe is doing that kind of stuff!
