photoshop 5.5 deactivate

Hi!

I have a valid Photoshop 5.5 subscription. I wanted to reinstall the program on my current computer, but I reached the activation limit. 2 activations have taken place. One is on my previous machine that broke. The other is in principle on this. But I don't understand, because before I deleted the program, I deactivated the product. Maybe someone accessed it and installed it on their machine? Is it possible to deactivate the existing logins through Adobe, so to speak, to reactivate them using the serial number?

Thank you in advance!

@miklóse36099833 Photoshop was not available on subscription prior to 2012, Photoshop 5.5 was released in 1999, and I'm not sure if that version required activation, do you mean Photoshop CS5 released in 2011.

There's no way to reset your activation count for older perpetual versions of Photoshop any longer.

there's a small chance you can deactivate via your account (if you purchased from or registered with adobe when you bought cs 5.5 and you remember the adobe id used to purchase/register).  check https://account.adobe.com

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.

that's incorrect.  or, at least, it used to be incorrect if users purchased from or registered with adobe.

I don't mean to have a dispute with you.  But I'm fairly certain that individual licenses to legacy software cannot be deactivated online.

It may be different for supported products like Elements, I don't know as I don't use them.

and on my part, i'm not sure any more.  as of a few months ago, it was possible.

lately, no one has reported success when deactivating from their account.  the option is still listed but users have reported no benefit when using the online deactivate option.

I have no option to deactivate my versions of Photoshop Elements on my Adobe account, even though the serial numbers and download links are available.   Deactivation is only available for me from within the app.

all cs users (that i can recall) see the option to control activated devices.  (they just don't seem to be able to restore their activation counts.)  this is a typical recent post, https://community.adobe.com/t5/download-install-discussions/license-key-not-working-on-re-install/m-...

Yes there were Creative Suite CS5.5 subscriptions.

https://prodesigntools.com/how-adobe-cs5-5-subscriptions-work.html

Someone from Adobe like @Jeff A Wright  would have to say whether they are still active or not.
