Photoshop CC Installer won't open

When I try to open the Photoshop CC installer, it bounces once in my dock and then quits. (The same thing is happening with Lightroom.) It's not a permissions issue -- I'm logged in as admin. If I try to run it through the terminal I get:

xxxx-iMac:~ xxxxx$ /Volumes/Photoshop\ Installer/Photoshop\ Installer.app/Contents/MacOS/Install ; exit;

logout

Saving session...

...copying shared history...

...saving history...truncating history files...

...completed.

[Process completed]

I do have CC2014 installed on my computer and it's running fine. I can't seem to find anything about troubleshooting this particular problem. I'm reluctant to uninstall CC2014 on the hope that this solves the issue.

Anyone have any ideas?

OSX 10.13.6

install the cc desktop app from here https://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud and use it to install your adobe subscription and trial programs.  you don't have to uninstall older versions (Creative Cloud Delivering More Choice for Installations | Adobe Customer Care Team )

Thanks for the reply. I have the CC desktop app installed, running the latest version. There is no option within the app to install other apps, though. Learn, Assets, Stock, Behance are my only tabs. When I download the installers directly (Adobe creative desktop apps | Adobe Creative Cloud) they don't work.
