Hello to this forum,

I still used the old version PS 7.0, having Windows 7. Now I got new hardware, still Windows 7 64bit, installed Photoshop again but some features don't function. I intend to try PS CS2 (german version) and would like to know, if it is possible to use the old key of Acrobat 7?

In the meanwhile I got Acrobat XI. I read an article on a german website what let me believe this.

    No, the old key for Acrobat 7 will not work due to the activation server no longer being in service.  REad the following link and download thru the second one (software and activation code).

    "Activation server unavailable" error in Adobe CS2, Acrobat 7, and Audition 3

    Download Adobe Acrobat 7 and Adobe Creative Suite 2 products

    I suppose if I ask would the old key of PS 7.0 solve the problem, the answer would certainly be No too?

    Yes exactly. Serial numbers are products version specific.  One version's Serial number will not work on different version.
