Photoshop CS6

Hello,

I would like to purchase a "stand alone" version of Photoshop CS6 as I am very old school and am not comfortable using Creative Cloud.  I know Adobe is pushing this cloud version but I can't see paying every month when I might only use the product for a month or two at a to,e.  This is for personal use so I will not be on my computer 8 hours a day - 5 days a week.   I have a very old version of Photoshop (6.0) andI really want to have the software in-hand, so to speak.

Has anyone bought any software from Digital Software - an online - download only product?  They say they send the link and you download from Adobe's website.  Comments please?

What about eBay.  There are several people selling Photoshop CS6.  They claim that the product is "new" but the box is unsealed and opened.  Can Photoshop CS6 be installed on one computer than resold to someone else to then be installed on a second computer?  I am very skeptical about the unsealed and opened part?  Comments please?

Thanks

Link to buy CS6 via telephone http://www.adobe.com/products/cs6.html read all the way to the bottom

According to what I read in a forum message, Mac newer than 10.7 must subscribe to the Cloud instead of buying CS6... and someone with Win10 must also subscribe to the Cloud since CS6 is not compatible (meaning the sales person will ask your operating system and will not sell you CS6 if it won't run on your computer... I don't know if that means only Win7 and you may not buy if you have Win8)

I've never heard of that online store, but as far as I know buying CS6 is ONLY direct from Adobe... see link above

Transfer MUST be done to sell used software https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1355892

Thanks John,

I have a Win 7.

What about the software sold on eBay? I sent an email with the same question and the response I got back was that

they are not an Adobe distributor, but they buy in bulk from them for business purposes.

Also each Item is new, unused, just not sealed in large box. So no, never installed before.

Does this sound like something Adobe does to get rid of old software that they don't need anymore?

CS6 is about 4 years old now, so I am VERY doubtful that anyone on ebay actually has "new" products

Adobe now only sells CS6 via download at the link I posted

What an ebay seller MAY have is an oem version that was originally distributed with hardware from a system builder... which is only legal when sold according to the original license, not by a "gray market" vendor... so you buy at your own risk
