Photoshop Elements 10

My wife accidentally installed the Windows disc of Photoshop Elements instead of the Windows 7 64-bit disc.  The 2nd disc wants to uninstall Photoshop when I insert it but says that I must deactivate the serial ID no.  If I deactivate the serial number will I still be able to download the correct version of the software in the computer afterwards?  I am not downloading it into a different computer but the same one.  I was hoping I could just download/replace but it won't do that.

Please help.  Thanks.

Deactivating your account shouldn't cause any problems. Read this article for more info: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/100/1008779.html
