HI there,
I had to get a new Laptop with Windows 11 on it.
I want to install my old Photoshop Elements 13 CD on it.
I purchased this CD myself and I have the serial number.
I have spent hours trying to do this and keep getting a pop up telling to install the latest Adobe browser ?
I can't get further than that.
Is it possible to install this CD on the laptop or am I wasting my time.
I don't want to but it again or do another trial.
Fed up with this sort of rip off?
thanks guys.

Can't see how to edit my post, but I meant I don't want to buy a new darn version.
Adobe is unbearable to use in every respect. Losing it here.
I'm 65, I can't take all this hassle. I just want the darn thing to install!

install the current pse 2024 stopping at the point where you're prompted for your serial number.
then install your older pse.
once activated with you serial number, you can uninstall pse2024.

thanks: I tried doing that as I had read on a site that was how to do it.
however, when I got prompted for my serial number, I put it in and pressed enter, then that sign about the up to date browser came up again and I got no further.....?
shall i try the whole thing again?
Should it definitely work, doing that? if so, i'll try again

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/
p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.

In case i have to give up and buy the new 2024 one, I can see it says it costs £86 and it says NO Subscription required. Does that mean I own it forever for £86 and don't ever have to pay again?

after installing pse 2024, install pse13 unless you purchas 2024.
and yes, pse is not a subscription purchase. it's a onetime payment.

Thanks for that, your suggested procedure worked fine and that "browser out of date " issue did not occur and I sucessfully transfered PSE13 to my new computer

Exactly as described in the original post in this thread..I get a message saying Adobe needs updating ..the messages then freezes on the screen and only clears by shutting the laptop down.

the original problem is the web browser needs updating, not anything adobe, though the op mistated the problem.
so again, exactly what are you seeing? copying and pasting a screenshot here would eliminate errors on your part.
