Just recently bought new Macbook. I have downloaded creative cloud. I was able to download, install and open Acrobat Pro, but cannot open other apps after download and install. I uninstalled and reinstalled the creative cloud and the apps twice (restart computer) with no success.

I answered the question from post #1. i did not migrate any files from previous Mac.

The operating system is macOS Sierra.

I uninstalled and reinstalled creative cloud etc. and yes this was the code from my most recent installation. Each time I was able to download and operate Acrobat DC, but only download (but not open) photoshop and premiere. When I try to open, I will get no farther than the small window in the beginning and then when I check force quit I see that the app is not responding.

Ok Vanessaj2067678 the behavior, and errors, you are describing does point to a previous installation as causing the current errors.  I would recommend completing the following steps to successfully install and utilize Photoshop, Premiere, and Acrobat.

  1. Go to Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers
  2. Run all available uninstallers and uninstall all Adobe software
  3. Download and run the CC Cleaner Tool - Use the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems and choose the option to Clean All
  4. Download and install the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop application - Learn how to download your Adobe Creative Cloud apps
  5. Reinstall Photoshop CC 2017, Premiere Pro CC 2017, and Acrobat DC

If you encounter any new errors then please update this discussion with the errors from the logs.  Each time you install the install log is appended too so the most recent error will be at the end of the file Vanessaj2067678.

Vanessaj2067678 did you utilize the steps listed in Learn how to download your Adobe Creative Cloud apps to download and install Photoshop CC 2017 and Premiere Pro CC 2017 on the new MacBook Pro?

If so what specific errors are you receiving when you attempt to open Photoshop or Premiere Pro?  Did you migrate any files from your previous Mac to this new MacBook Pro?

yes. The apps are listed in the creative cloud window as being installed, but once I try to open the apps all I see the swirling circle symbol. I check the Force Quit window and the app will be listed as "not responding".

I have not received any specific error messages which is strange. I have not migrated any files from previous Mac

Thanks for the update Vanessaj2067678.

From your description it appears the installation process itself may have been successful.  To verify please review the install log for any reports of errors during the installation process.  The install log is appended to after each installation so the most recent installations will be at the bottom of the file.  Complete details on how to locate, and interpret, the install log can be found at Creative Cloud download and install errors.

Please update this discussion with any errors you discover Vanessaj2067678.  If you are not able to locate any errors then there may still be a number of causes that may prevent Photoshop and Premiere Pro CC 2017 from opening successfully.
