Question

PowerPC applications no longer supported

I have a Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5 and I got Adobe Photoshop elements 4.0.

When I insert the CD and try to install Photoshop elements this notification appears: "You can not open the programme 'StatusDisplay', since the PowerPC applications are no longer supported." Then a second one appears, which notes that I can not open the programme 'SetLanguage' for the same reason.

The installation window claims that an error occured and the installation failed.

Any Help?

I have the same question.  I am trying to install from a cd  (Adobe After effects 5.5).  It says powerPC no longer supported.  What can I do?

I am running 10.8 5 Lion.

If you mean the version of After Effects that came out in 2002 then there's nothing you can do. Macs now use Intel processors and software designed for old PowerPC Macs won't work.
