Previous Version Serial Number

I purchased and downloaded Adobe Acrobat DC. I did enter my serial number. When I tried to launch it, I got the following message:

Serial Number you provided is valid, but a qualifying product could not be found on this computer.

To upgrade, you must provide the serial number of your previous version. Please select your previous product version and enter its serial number.

Straightforward enough, but here's the problem. I used a trial version. And the serial number is no longer listed on my account page. So I cannot retrieve the serial number.

I called Adobe Technical Support, and they said that telephone technical support is not offered for my product. So they apparently cannot retrieve my trial-version serial number for me, either.

Any ideas? Anyone?

By the way, Adobe - it is UNBELIEVABLE to me that you consign people to forums with their peers for a problem like this. I'm going to post this experience on user forums for software magazines and the like.

There are no serial numbers for trial versions.  If you purchase an upgrade you have to do so based on having owned a previous version.  You can still purchase an upgrade license but if you did not own a preceding (non-trial) version then you wasted your money and probably should see about getting a refund, and if necessary buying a non-upgrade license.
