Problem with Update U44M1P7

Today I tried to perform an update of several Adobe applications. All updates failed with the error code U44M1P7.

I have seen that there is some help page by Adobe reg. to this error code: http://helpx.adobe.com/de/creative-suite/kb/error-u44m1p7-installing-updates-ccm.html

How can such an error happen? I have no tool for system optimization running nor I have uninstalled/deleted files within the existing installation manually.

Is to uninstall and re-install all applications really the only posibility to solve the problem? I only have a very slow bandwith (max. 1 MBit/s downstream) and it would cause to go to another place with my whole workstation.

Unfortunately it didn't work. Because of 910 kiB for the update I have to reinstall several gigabytes of software...

Rene Toepfer what error message did you discover in your installation log for the error you are attempting to apply?  Please remember the U44M1P7 error means nothing more than an update has failed to be applied.

In [1] is a link to [2] but these directories doesn't exist on Win7 x64. The English version of the support page is more helpful.

The log is reg. to CSXS. What do you want to know exactly? May I can send an e-mail with this log?

At every error the log entry "Patcher tool returned error: 32769(Seq [number])" is written.

Rene Toepfer in your case it appears you are facing difficulties updating files in the C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\CEPServiceManager4.  This could be due to a file permission failure or corruption of the download file.  I just reinstalled this update under Windows 8.1 and I was able to download and install the update successfully.

Please try adjusting the file permissions for the C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\CEPServiceManager4 directory and all child objects.  After you have done so please review the installation logs to see if you errors similar to the following:

Thanks for your quick reply.

The file and directory permissions are "Full access for Administrator". I tried an Internet connection via LTE but the same result.

Do you know where I can download the installation package manually?

The re-installation of the Creative Cloud Client was not helpful.

Due to that I am unable to install the CEPServiceManager4 manually I uninstalled all applications and the reinstallation is running. I hope it solves the problem and I will report.

As I wrote above: The file permissions are full access for Administrator (and I also got the UAC prompt by Win7 x64).

I apologize for my late reply.

I uninstalled PS as first, than ID and AI. During the uninstallation the folder CEPServiceManager4 were emptied. While installation of PS, ID and AI (in that order) new files were also installed into this folder.

I have been trying for days to apply four updates Ps, Ai, Pr, and Id. All I get is "Update Failed". I am using Windows 8. I have uninstalled and reinstalled only to recieve the same error meesage. Adobe needs to fix as I am a paying customer.
