Purchased Lightroom 6 on Amazon.

Hi! I purchased lightroom 6 on Amazon, and tried to download.  I got all the way through the download process, even registering my purchase with adobe.  When I attempt to run the program, it states there is an error, and it automatically shuts down the program.  I have uninstalled the program, and ran the cloud cleaner (as was suggested on adobe's site).  I had read a review from a fellow amazon customer stating that the problem was with amazon's download link, and she was told to download through adobe.  I have been attempting to do so, but have not been able to find a link for my specific product, that doesn't require an additional purchase.  Can you please help me? I'm nearing my wits end.  Thanks in advance!
