So I had to erase a previous installation of Adobe CC Apps; when I tried to reinstall the apps I always get the "Installer failed to initialize." message.

No matter what method I try or tools I use, I still have no luck.

Currently, I'm running OS X El Capitan 10.11.2, got 8GBs of RAM, nVidia m850 GPU and an i7 for CPU, so it's not a system requirements issue. So far I've tried (With all of these, I get the same message):

  • Using the Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool
  • Using the direct link installers
  • Using the Creative Cloud App to download and install
    • Actually, I was able to install the CC Manager App, but it didn't work at all. As soon as I installed it and launched it, it said something like "This version is no longer functional. Please redownload and install", when I literally just installed it. What gives?
  • Erasing all of the Adobe files from my computer, including the /User/ folder contents and the /Libraries/ one
  • Rebooting in between all of these steps

I'm pretty desperate because I need the apps to work and a clean OS install is starting to seem like the only option.

Anyone got a fix?

Thank you very much! Installing the App Manager made the installers work again. Thanks!
