"licensing for this product has stopped working"

I purchased CS3 student edition 6 years ago. Recently I had to upgrade my operating system on my iMac 10.6.8. (I know it's antiquated) Now when I attempt to open any Adobe program I receive an error message. It says... "Licensing for this product has stopped working."  Any suggestions?
