"Photographer Plan" Lightroom Perpetual License?

I was thinking of signing up for the $9.99 per month photagrahy plan with Lightroom CC, Photoshop and Lightroom Classic. If a year or two from now I cancel the membership, will Lightroom on my computer (the desktop version) continue to work?

If you already own LRroom (with a serial number) you will be able to use it... but you will probably need to take some steps to get it to work again after having had a subscription

If you don't have a serial number version, the subscription programs stop working when you stop paying

Adobe published this about Lightroom CC a couple of years ago. I assume it still applies to Classic CC.

What happens to Lightroom after my membership ends?

With the new Cloud-based Lightroom CC, I presume it will not launch until you re-subscribe.

Cancelling Creative Cloud means you won't get free software upgrades.  Given that support for LR 6 (perpetual)  will end soon, that could be a problem when you buy new digital cameras.
