"Printer not activated, error code -30."

I'm running an engineering application that is supposed to generate a pdf automatically when saved at completion.  Everything has been working fine for years. Now, all of a sudden, that does not happen. Instead, I get this pop up that says; "Printer not activated, error code -30."

Has this happened to anyone else?  If so, what was the solution?
