"Restart and try again" Happens with whatever I download over and over

Could you be a bit more specific?

What system, program, file, etc?

I have 32 bit windows XP and i've tried downloading fireworks, photoshop, and some others.

What exactly happens when you try to download?

The more info you provide, the better your chances of getting help here.

I sign in and download, the software takes a while to download then makes some folder on my desktop ( i told it to save there) then a black box comes up saying "Error: Please press quit then restart computer, then try again" so thats what I do, then reinstall, and it says, same thing again

Try using a different browser.

Do you have XP with Service Pack 3 installed?

You'll need it to run Photoshop.
