THIS PROBLEM HAS NOT BEEN FIXED and the answer that is labeled as "Correct Answer" IS NOT THE CORRECT ANSWER! When you go into the setting and turn off the switch next to "Launch Creative Cloud at login," it still launches at login. It is extremely frustrating as the window opens large enough to block out anything you were doing on the screen. PLEASE FIX THIS ISSUE!!

There is no correct answer to your entry. There is not even one answer to your questen (well except this one). If you do not say which one of the hundreds of (answered) streams you looked at, then nobody can help you. Answers get marked correct when the answer is correct, not always when the answer solves your specific problem.

What OS are you using?
In OS X, the Apple Mac OS, ther is a section in the OS Preferences to start apps at startup. Check that for the CC DTA.
In the newest CC DTA you need to open the preferences and Set the "Launch CC at login to Off, Gray slider

I'm on Windows 10 and CC Desktop App does not launch automatically for me on startup. Maybe you need to check your OS settings.

All I want to do is turn on my computer and not have the creative cloud window pop up covering my entire screen. I'm sure there are people who enjoy this, however I find it a nuisance. I have tried hitting settings and unchecking "launch at login," but this seems to do nothing. I was told by an adobe employee helping me that I need to quit the application after I unselect "launch at login" before I shutdown, and again this made no difference. I have MAC OS Catalina 10.15.1. Again, every forum post I see regarding this issue says "Solved" and the solution that solves the problem is unchecking "launch at login" which does NOTHING. Very frustrating.

Hi,
Is there a Creative Cloud in "System Preferences / Users & Groups / Login Items" on your Mac? If there is, please remove it.
If there is Creative Cloud in Login Items, a window will open at startup.
If you check “Launch Creative Cloud at login”, the window will not open at startup.

Ok, you are saying to:
1. remove creative cloud from the "login items" menu (as opposed to checking the box for "hide").
2. turning "launch at login" slider to the "on" position
correct?
I will attempt and see if that works.

That's right. I hope it will work.
