Any idea why my CS6 download now thinks the install is the extended version (its not) and will not let me activate?

    B_santana, what is the exact error message that you are receiving when you attempt to active Photoshop CS6?  Can you confirm that both serial numbers are registered on http://www.adobe.com/ by using the process listed in Find your serial number ?


    I believe that I have discovered the problem.  When I installed CS6 on my new computer I did not have internet access.  The download file apparently defaults to CS6 Extended, so my attempt to license was rejected.  Today when I opened CS6 and entered the S/N it required me to sign into my Adobe account.  It apparently looked at the license on your server and is now set up on my computer as CS6 and I do not get the nasty note and trial version access.  This information might be useful for other users who do not have internet access at all times.

    Extended version of what?

    Did you download the installer that matches your serial number?

    I have the download on CD.  I recently purchased a new computer and attempted to install Photoshop CS6 on the new computer using the upgrade S/N and new S/N for PS CS 5(old) and downloaded CS6, the purchase which I have the documented S/N.  I have installed it earlier, but have had problems with updates thinking I have the extended version.  I upgraded from, downloaded and installed standard PS CS6.
