Re: Error code 50

I know this is an old discussion thread but I'm having the same problems described and multiple attempts at uninstalling the cc desktop app, running the cleaner tool and reinstalling are not solving it. During the reinstall of the cc desktop app I get error code 50 time and again.

All of this started because I was trying to update Adobe Premiere and getting a different error code there and none of the suggested solutions for a failed update were working so I then did the last resort of uninstalling the cc desktop app. Now I can't reinstall premiere because I can't get the desktop app reinstalled.

I did all the steps suggested on several of these forums, including repairing my Microsoft Visual C++, which has been a problem in the past for Adobe updates.

I'm running Windows 10. Please help I've been trying to solve this for weeks.

Lindsey you can find details on how to resolve Error 50, when installing the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop application, at Error code 2 or error code 50: Adobe Creative Cloud desktop application failed to update.  If you have already downloaded and installed the CC Cleaner Tool then please utilize the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop application uninstaller utility instead.  The Creative Cloud desktop app uninstaller utility is available for download at Uninstall the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop application.

If you have any questions Lindsey, or encounter additional errors, then please update this discussion.
