My Mac died. My CS4 Master collection was a download version.  I installed the software. Answered the key. It load successfully. However I found some of the app(s) required activation keys again. The master key does not apply here. I am stuck.  What should I do? Please help.

    Hi Archie,

Sorry that you are having trouble installing and using your Adobe CS4 Master collection, as all the products are not getting successfully activated.

As you have mentioned your old Mac machine crashed, this means you have got a newer operating system now is that correct?

If yes, then please know that Adobe CS4 is a very old software and Adobe has not tested it on any of the latest operating systems, hence the product may or may not work. Even if the product gets installed we can expect some compatibility issues with it.

However, if you are on Mac OS High Sierra, then I would recommend downloading a fresh copy of installation files from here: Download Adobe Creative Suite 4 (CS4) products  , and then follow the steps given in the work around to install the product on your machine: Installing Creative Suite on macOS 10.12 (Sierra)

Let us know if this helps.

Thanks. Your note is very hopeful. CS4 was a big investment for my daughter

at the time in Grade 9 and I am not using it commercially. I treasured it.

I will try your suggestion in a few hours later. Meanwhile this is the

    situation.

    Hardware

Macbook Pro 17 to iMac 2014

    OS -- Sierra

    Problem encountered

I have not gone to using it yet. I have the master key and loaded OK. Then

some individual app asked for their own activation key. That is where I got

    stuck.

I tried to open a Skype account and their system generate a code to unlock

a Web page which must be sent to a phone. My phone receive code from other

sources OK except Skype. I got a friend willing to receive the code(most

are worried) and I will try that in 2-3 hours later.

I will let you know the progress. Stay tune.

    Adobe support doesn't use Skype!
