After upgrading to Windows 8.1, I re-installed Photoshop CS2 from my original disks, re-entered the serial number and registered it. The program seemed to work correctly, but each time I reopened, it ask me to registered again. I contacted to Adobe "chat" and was advised the CS2 is no longer supported, but that I could download the program (PhSp_CS2_English.exe) and use the new key provided. I did so, and re-registered sucessfully, but I still am asked to register each time I open the program. How do I get rid of this nonsensical feature?

Thank you

1. click the link in jw's message 1 > english > i agree (or you may need to log in), but follow the obvious steps to get to the page with the cs2 file-links

2. download PhSp_CS2_English.exe from the PhSp_CS2_English.exe link

3. use the serial number listed next to PhSp_CS2_English.exe link

kglad,

Thank you for your assistance, but the key given to me in the download, was

not accepted (not valid). I had to use the key that was given to me in the

previous download to be able to install the program.

However, I was able to remove the annoying registration popup by opening

CS2 as Administrator, checking the "do not register" case and then closing

the program.

Yes I did, and this is my issue. I removed the CS2 program from my

computer, downloaded PhSp_CS2_English.exe, installed it, entered the new

password given to me (which checks with the data in "my Adobe"), registered

it and received the message: Registration complete. Thank you for

registering your adobe product.

However , each time I try to use Photoshop I am asked to register again. I

click on the register later, and the program seems to function perfectly,

but it is somewhat of a bother.

I decided to call the Adobe "chat", and was asked to de-install,

re-download the program, and re-install. I was given a new key

(<serial number removed by mod - kglad>) which was not accepted. This key does not

show in "my Adobe".
