Question

Reinstall an earlier version.

Had problems using Elements 9 and decided to do a reinstall.  The original CD begins the process by doing an uninstall.  Shortly after beginning I'm advised of an error 1316 because the program can't find an ... elements.msi.  Uninstall process terminates but now nothing works.  (I was able to install the premier 9 accompanying version.)  Suggestions?

    per 18qwer,

Run the MS FixIt utiltiy, then see if you can use the Control Panel to uninstall:

    http://support.microsoft.com/fixit/

If that doesn't work, here are the Adobe instructions for manually removing PSE9, you'll have to adjust for PSE10:

Thanks. Fixed the uninstaller but during reinstall the following message appeared.

Uninstall was successful but re install failed because one certain file could not be created.

"Error 2932 Could not create file C:\window\installer\{007F778D-F15C -4EAB-AE92-071 D21FAF632}\1033.mst from script data. Error:32

that's another windows (not adobe) error.

google it and search for fixes.
