As requested. Adobe help indicates folder user/library/Application Support/Adobe/SLStore may not have the correct permissions. When I checked the library folder I do not have the SLStore folder. Thanks for your help.

These errors are due to a read-only SLStore folder.

Follow the steps in http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/configuration-error-cs5.html to correct the permission to SLStore folder and check if it helps

Dear Manish-Sharma,

Thank you for your consideration to assist me in solving this problem. I also found this page on the Adobe help site, however, there is no information to Create or add a 'SLStore folder' when none is found! If a reinstall from a uninstall does not create this folder, what do I need to do?

If you are not able to locate the SLStore folder then the parent folder might not have the permission to "Read and Write"

/Library/Application Support/Adobe/

Provide the complete permission to the Adobe Folder and then Re-install, SLStore folder should get created on Install.

Dear Manish-Sharma,

That was the ticket THANKS!

I changed permissions on all the included folders but not the root Adobe folder, opens fine and works now without the cofiguration error message.

However, a new error has crept in:

It never ends... any suggestions about this error? Thanks.

go to Users\Library\Preferences\Adobe Photoshop Elements 10\ and change the  permissions on the folder.

Dear kglad,

Thank you for the response, my computer seems to be laid out with a different file structure. I do not have a Library folder under my user name. There is a Library folder in the systems folder but it only contains a folder named PreferencePanes and contains no folders named for any Adobe products. My root folder Library contains a Preferences folder, however, all files are UNIX or TEXT files and there are no folders for Adobe. My folders under Library/ApplicationSupport/Adobe do not contain any folders for Adobe Photoshop Elements.

Any other suggested locations where this folder may be stored?

As you are on Mac 10.7.5 , the user library folder is hidden.

Please check the link to access user library folder :- http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/access-hidden-user-library-files.html

Correct path will be :- Users\<User Name>\Library\Preferences\Adobe Photoshop Elements 10\ (wherein the library folder will be hidden)

Dear Manish-Sharma,

Thank you! You helped me locate and save my Library folder so it is visible for future events and I was able to update the Prefrences folder to allow me write access to this folder. All looks to be in working order now -- at least no error messages in my few test file openings.

I appreciate your contined help and expertize!
