Reinstalling Adobe Creative Suite 4 Design Premium

I hope someone can help. I spent over an hour trying to get help direct from adobe but no luck.

Years age when I was a student I purchased CS4 for windows as a student.  If I remember right you used your student email and Id to get a serial number for installation based on a coupon code found inside the package.

Well that original computer is starting to have problems and have a newer computer and thought I would  load it on the new one.  unfortunately I have no record of the S/n and adobe wants a copy of a 10 year old invoice which I dont have.  Have thought about calling the college and seeing if they still have a record of my email address and or student ID.

Does anyone have any ideas about how to get a serial number or reinstall the software on a new computer.  I provided adobe with the coupon code but they said they couldnt decode it.

Right now the only thought I have is to try and clone the hard drive and install that drive in a new computer and see if that will work.  There are a lot of other programs that are installed on the old computer and i'm sure it would be better to do clean installs but I would lose CS4 and have no interest in the cloud version as I have very slow internet.

Thanks for any ideas.

Hr89543018, as 02GEEK has indicated the redemption code was only designed for immediate use.  After you submitted the redemption code you would then be given a serial number.  Since this was Creative Suite 4 it would have been necessary to manually register the serial number at http://www.adobe.com/.

I don't show any software titles registered under the e-mail address you used to post to this public forum, Hr89543018.  Please contact our support team at Contact Customer Care and have alternate e-mail addresses and phone numbers that may have been utilized to register Creative Suite 4 available.  For complete information regarding the serial number registration process see Find your serial number .

From adobe site:    As of February 1, 2017, the Student and Teacher Licensing program has been discontinued. Students and teachers will no longer be able to purchase and access Adobe Creative Suite product serial numbers.

That seems to kill the idea of getting anything done

If you registered the software you should be able to retrieve the existing serial number via Adobe's website.

If you didn't registered the software, there is a bigger problem. The Student and Teacher Licensing Program was designed for immediate use of the product during the product's lifetime. I would advise contacting Adobe Customer Support by phone, explain the situation, and see what if anything they might be able to do for you, but they will need some kind of proof of ownership.

Lost information - see reply #1 in https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2008767

    - page has links to programs to find an installed serial number in Mac or Windows

    - includes link to your Adobe account to check for registered serial numbers

    - when you find your serial number(s) write them down and put in a desk drawer
