serial key given to me by adobe doesn't work on cs4 downloaded from adobe website

hi

i have recently been through a series of live chats and correspondence with adobe using proof of purchase from the adobe website to find my serial key for my cs4 product. They responded by sending me an email saying that they had confirmed my purchase and stating that they had generated me a new serial key. I then went to the download section they had linked from the email and downloaded the cs4 standard design that we had confirmed i had bought earlier. It is also registered on my account with adobe. I put the number they had given me into the boxes when you install and it came back with a little X by them. I checked that i had put it in correctly and i retyped it manually and by copy and paste from their email and it still doesn't seem to have worked. I don't know why and wanted to ask before i start the laborious task of talking to them again about this.

i tried these options  then i did a full uninstalled and reinstalled the program.I also asked me to register the program which i did, it said it had sent the registration. This time Photoshop and Illustrator where there but again when i tried to launch the program it said 'License has expired'. I checked that my new mac was completely compatible and had what it needed to run this program apparently it does.

I really don't understand why it saying its expired when its supposed to be a new number?

Hi Jengossman,

I have reviewed your Adobe ID(email address) you have utilized to post here, you have mentioned in your post above that you have downloaded Adobe Design Standard CS4 and trying to activate it but it fails.

However, In your account i can see the serial number provided to you is not for Adobe Design Standard CS4 instead it is for Adobe Design Premium CS4 i would recommend you to download CS4 Design Premium from here: Download Adobe Creative Suite 4 (CS4) products and use the serial key given to you to activate it.

    hi i have downloaded the program you linked to. thank you very much the serial key worked  but the programs i really needed out of this cs4 namely Photoshop and illustrator are not on the program. when i look at the list it has installed neither program is there and they are not in my applications folder either. I checked the differences link you showed and it says they should be there so i do not understand why these programs are not there? can you help? I have also downloaded the photoshop cs4 that in under the cs4 design premium that you linked to. I can get all the way through the set up, it doesn't ask for the serial key, but it keeps saying the program is incomplete when i go into my applications to find it? I re-downloaded it and it went through it all then when i tried to launch the program it says that the licence for this product has expired? Could this be a glitch or something?

    I really need this program for work!! Help!!
