Setting up

I am trying to set up to follow the book "Photoshop CC and Lightroom CC for photographers" but I'm already stuck. I can not find "catalog" in Lightroom and when I insert a memory card Lightroom does not automatically appear.

Make sure the book was written for your exact version of Photoshop and Lightroom. Things change between releases.

The auto-run behaviour when you put in a memory card is under your control, it's a Windows option. Try right clicking on the memory card drive letter in Windows File Explorer, and choose "Open auto play".
