I received the following email from Adobe:
As part of a recent update to the Creative Cloud desktop app, you were signed out of the app. You must sign back in to receive new product updates*.
I went to sign back into Creative Cloud and found that I was already signed in so either I was never signed out or I was somehow automatically signed back in. I do not know if this should concern me or not. If I was supposed to be signed out, but was not, does that mean that my version of Creative Cloud was not updated? An update check only shows me updates for my existing apps and they all show as being up to date.
Creative Cloud itself is not shown in the update available list, so I do not know about it. Should I be concerned?

Hi
To check that the CC app is up to date click on the three dots top right corner and then click on Preferences > General and you should see this version

Hi Mike,
If you still have the email, can you check the sender to see if it was really from Adobe? I have not heard that they send out emails to alert you that you are signed out. If it wasn't from Adobe, please forward it to phishing@adobe.com.

Thank you for the heads-up as it is always a good idea to be on the lookout for malware of all kinds. However a check of the "from" address on the email shows it to be "mail.Adobe.com", and so I assume it really was from Adobe. It is probably easy to spoof the Adobe TM that was in the email, but they asked for no information and the "from" address seems valid.
As a general rule I never, repeat never, provide information that might be requested in an email without being absolutely sure that the email is valid, just like I never give out such information on the phone unless I made the call and know to whom I am speaking, and I am grateful that people on this forum are knowledgeable enough to know this and warn others when they may be in danger of being taken advantage of.

Hi Mike,
Yes, always good to check, but it looks like this was legit!
